KINDERGARTEN SUPPY LIST 2011-2012
Cherry Drive Elementary
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten! We are looking forward to working with you and your child this year.
After the children bring the supplies they will be gathered up and placed at centers as needed. By providing identical pencils, glue, etc., children will be able to share supplies more easily with less argument. Do not label supplies.

SPECIALS: Your children will be participating in P.E., Music and Art classes. When schedules are made up we will notify you, so the children can dress appropriately. Tennis shoes must be worn for P.E.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS: To facilitate group activities and provide proper directions and immediate feedback, we would like to encourage parent volunteers. If you are willing to help at anytime, one hour a week, or every other week, please let us know as soon as possible.
MISCELLANEOUS:
1. It is important to remember that kindergarten is a hands-on experience which sometimes requires "making a mess". Children should come dressed in casual play clothes.
2. Please be sure your child has a backpack to bring home notes, etc., with his/ her name on it. This should be brought to school everyday.
3. Please label your child's boots, coats, and jackets with permanent marker. Many articles look alike and names prevent a mix-up.
4. We take several field trips throughout the school year. Sometimes this means an adjusted schedule for kindergarten. Pay attention to all notes that go home and respond to them quickly.
