Hello Everyone! Here is a little about me!
I have been teaching for 18 years, and this is my 7th year at Cherry Drive. I have lived my whole life in the Thornton area and attended Adams 12 schools including Coronado Elementary and Merritt Hutton Junior High.
I love teaching students to have a love of reading and writing. I earned my bachelor degree and teaching certificate from Metro College. I earned my Masters degree in Literacy from Walden University. I have also taken attended many conferences relating to early literacy. In addition to teaching in the classroom I have also been a Literacy coach and reading interventionist. I feel all of these experiences have helped me become a well rounded kindergarten teacher.
I have a wonderful husband, Steve, and we have been married 19 years. I have two sons. Kevin is a junior and Tyler is a freshman at Horizon High School.
The theme for this site relates to our family hobby, which is riding roller coasters. We travel the USA to ride as many roller coasters as we can. We have been to 30+ parks and have been
on hundreds of rides. It is a thrilling hobby that I love to share with the 
students.
This picture is of a coaster called El Toro. It is located at Six Flags Great Adventure
in New Jersey. It is my favorite wooden coaster. Ride on! Below is a picture of
